Consignment Policy

Call us in the afternoon for a quick assessment of your pieces; let us know their brands, conditions, and styles. 
A guide to what we look for:
  • should be from a high-end designer
  • new or gently used, clean goods
  • shoes with no damage to the heel

If you have an appointment with us, bring your pieces in so we can observe its condition and genuineness. Clothes do not have to be brought on hangers as we might press them.

Depending on the amount and quality of items, you may arrange a free pick-up in Manhattan (5 boroughs of NYC), parts of Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester, and Connecticut. Outside these areas, you should ship* the items to us.

* We do not pay shipping charges.

Pricing and Charging Guide

All agreements (even unsigned ones) are binding, so inform us of disagreement within seven days. The day you consign is usually when you receive your consignment contract.

To pick up your items before a 60-day period is over results in a fee of 20% of the item’s start price. Please phone before a pick-up.

Item starts at an agreed-on price.

When an item is sold, the consignor retains 50% of the selling price and the payment will be mailed 30–50 days after the item's purchase. 

We can dry-clean items for you with a minimum charge of $8.00 for every item dry-cleaned, which will be deducted from your payment. 

30 days after consigning

 Item goes for 20% off the agreed starting price

60 days after consigning

 Item goes for 50% off the agreed starting price

15 days after the consignment expiration date (when an item is not picked up)

* We do not send reminders of expiration dates, which is on your consignment contract.

Item becomes La Boutique property;

it may be donated or its price may be reduced without compensation to the consignor.

Every 30 days after the consignment expiration date (when an item is not picked up)

 Consignor is charged a storage fee of 10% the item's starting price. (The first 29 days does not result in a storage fee) 

* We reserve the right to reject items deemed unsuitable for resale at any time.
* We are not responsible for the damage to or loss of consigned goods.
